Outreach

We had a concert at River Ridge today with J-T Kelly. J-T gave his testimony, about how he turned his life around, and then Abe Olson gave a talk about being in God’s Family, with Ellen Putzier and Rus Lyons telling stories from missionary work. After a short break, J-T played a few songs, and then Katie Maslow and Joe Bulger gave a talk about following Jesus as a captain and a friend. J-T then played a few more of his songs and we ended the night with about an hour of conversation and food in the commons. We had a number of guests there, and it seemed like they were really moved, and were really thinking about what they heard. We also did a live video stream online, and had a number of people watching that as well. This is J-T’s song, Nehemiah, as performed at the concert:

We started a morning prayer at Burnsville on Wednesday mornings this year. We got involved through a friend of Micah Olson’s, Eric Olinger, from River Hills Methodist Church. We now have a consistent group coming every week, and have been talking about various aspects of living a christian life.
