Workdays

The Action Division hosted a day to clear all the lockers out of the Bloomington building before the move. We invited the whole school, and many showed up. We spent the whole day taking all the lockers out, filling the dumpster with junk, stacking chairs, moving books and cleaning out closets, and we finished the day off with a Lord’s day and games. It was very helpful for the preparation to move and they could not have done it without us.

We went to Melrose this weekend and re-roofed a house and garage for a farmer there, Mr. Sachrey. We went up after school on Friday, set up camp and had dinner. After Dinner, Joe Bulger and Laura Lynch gave a talk about revolutionary Christianity. The next morning, heard a talk about personal prayer from Apryl Wolney, then we went and began to roof. The garage was done by lunchtime, but the house took much longer, because we had to rip off wood shakes and put in plywood on one side of the house. We worked until about 9, then we went and had a Lord’s day. Everyone was pretty tired after roofing all day, so we forewent the scheduled talks and just sat around the fire that night. The next morning, we finished the roof off, and drove back to the Twin Cities.
